A delightful pie that combines the gooey goodness of chocolate chip cookies with a crispy pie crust, perfect for sharing warm memories.

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine the flour, granulated sugar, softened butter, salt, and baking soda to form the crust mixture.
  3. Press the crust mixture evenly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie pan.
  4. Whisk together the brown sugar, granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips into the egg mixture.
  6. Pour the filling into the prepared crust, spreading it evenly.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the center is set but still slightly soft.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool for at least 10 minutes before slicing.
