Soft and fluffy dinner rolls that are easy to make, perfect for any meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups warm milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 package (2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 5 to 6 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs

Instructions

  1. Activate the yeast: In a large bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until foamy.
  2. Mix in the wet ingredients: Add melted butter, salt, and eggs to the yeast mixture, stirring to combine.
  3. Combine the flour: Gradually add the flour, one cup at a time, until a soft dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough: Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
  5. First rise: Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
  6. Punch down the dough: Punch down the dough and divide it into small balls.
  7. Shape the rolls: Place the rolls in a greased baking pan.
  8. Second rise: Cover and let rise again until doubled, about 30 minutes.
  9. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  10. Bake the rolls: Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  11. Brush with butter: Brush with melted butter before serving.

Notes

Make sure your milk is warm but not hot to ensure yeast activation. You can substitute all-purpose flour with bread flour for a fluffier texture.
