A rich and moist cake soaked in a delightful blend of coffee and three kinds of milk, topped with whipped cream and chocolate shavings.

  • 1 cup coffee
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Whipped cream for topping
  • Chocolate shavings for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish to ensure an easy release after baking.
  2. Mix the dry ingredients: In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, cocoa powder, and salt. Set aside.
  3. Whisk together the eggs and sugar until fluffy. Incorporate the whole milk and vanilla extract.
  4. Combine the dry ingredients into the egg mixture until well combined.
  5. Pour the batter into your prepared baking dish and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Cool the cake completely in the pan.
  7. Mix the coffee, sweetened condensed milk, and evaporated milk in a separate bowl.
  8. Poke holes all over the cooled cake and pour the milk mixture over it.
  9. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or ideally overnight.
  10. Top the cake with whipped cream and chocolate shavings before serving.
