Quick and simple homemade croutons that add crunch and flavor to salads and soups.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of bread (cubed)
  • 1/4 cup of olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon of dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Combine the cubed bread, olive oil, garlic powder, dried oregano, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
  3. Toss the bread cubes until they are well coated.
  4. Spread the bread cubes on a baking sheet in an even layer.
  5. Bake for about 15-20 minutes, tossing halfway through.
  6. Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before using.

Notes

For best texture, use day-old bread. Store leftover croutons in an airtight container.
