A savory, rich au jus sauce that elevates your prime rib to restaurant-quality.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Beef broth
  • 1 cup Red wine
  • 1 tablespoon Soy sauce
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 Onion, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Fresh thyme
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Sauté garlic and onion in a saucepan over medium heat until softened.
  2. Deglaze with red wine, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
  3. Combine the beef broth, soy sauce, and fresh thyme.
  4. Simmer to thicken for 15-20 minutes.
  5. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Serve hot over prime rib.

Notes

This sauce can also be used with other roast meats or as a dipping sauce for bread.
