A quick and delicious sautéed broccoli recipe that transforms this vegetable into a vibrant and tasty side dish.

  • 1 1/2 pounds (2 large heads) broccoli
  • 2 green onions
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt, plus more to taste
  • Optional: 1 teaspoon lemon zest

Instructions

  1. Chop the broccoli into medium-sized florets, keeping part of the stem.
  2. Slice the green onions thinly.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  4. Sauté the broccoli florets for about 5 minutes until lightly browned.
  5. Add the sliced green onions, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and kosher salt. Cook for another 2 to 3 minutes until bright green and tender.
  6. Adjust seasoning with extra salt and fresh pepper as needed. Serve immediately, garnishing with lemon zest if desired.
