A festive tart infused with the flavors of eggnog, nutmeg, and cinnamon, topped with whipped cream and caramel shards.

Ingredients

  • 1 pre-made tart shell
  • 2 cups eggnog
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • Caramel shards for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggnog, eggs, sugar, vanilla, nutmeg, and cinnamon until smooth.
  3. Pour the eggnog mixture carefully into the pre-made tart shell.
  4. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the filling is set but still slightly jiggly in the center.
  5. Remove from the oven and let cool, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  6. Before serving, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
  7. Dollop the whipped cream on top of the tart and garnish with caramel shards.

Notes

For the best texture, chill the tart well. Use high-quality eggnog for the richest flavor.
