These hot dogs are a delightful explosion of flavors, topped with creamy firecracker sauce, melty cheese, and fresh toppings.

  • 8 all-beef hot dogs
  • 8 soft hot dog buns, lightly toasted
  • Firecracker Sauce:
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sriracha sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • Toppings:
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese (or pepper jack)
  • ½ cup diced red onions
  • ½ cup sliced jalapeños (optional)
  • Fresh cilantro leaves

Instructions

  1. Make the Firecracker Sauce by whisking together ¼ cup mayonnaise, 2 tablespoons sriracha, 1 tablespoon honey, 1 teaspoon smoked paprika, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, and 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice until smooth.
  2. Prep the Toppings: Dice the red onions, slice the jalapeños, shred the cheese, and chop the cilantro.
  3. Heat the grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F).
  4. Grill the hot dogs for 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally.
  5. Toast the buns for the last 2 minutes of grilling, cut-side down.
  6. Assemble the Hot Dogs: Spread firecracker sauce in each bun, add a hot dog, and top with cheese, onions, jalapeños, and cilantro.
  7. Serve Immediately while the cheese is melty.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate hot dogs in olive oil, salt, and pepper before grilling.
