A spicy twist on classic Cheez-Its, featuring sharp cheddar and ranch seasoning for a crunchy snack.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon ranch seasoning mix
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (or to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon water

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream the shredded cheddar cheese and softened butter until well mixed.
  3. Combine the all-purpose flour, salt, ranch seasoning, and cayenne pepper to the cheese mixture.
  4. Form the dough by gradually adding water until cohesive.
  5. Roll out the dough to about 1/8 inch thick on a lightly floured surface.
  6. Cut into desired shapes and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until edges are golden and crispy.
  8. Cool for a few minutes before enjoying.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week, or freeze for up to a month.
