Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 lbs flank steak
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Whisk the marinade by combining olive oil, minced garlic, soy sauce, lime juice, black pepper, and salt in a bowl.
  2. Marinate the flank steak by placing it in a shallow dish and pouring the marinade over it, ensuring even coating.
  3. Infuse the flavors by covering the dish and refrigerating for at least 2 hours or overnight.
  4. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat for a nice sear.
  5. Prepare the steak for grilling by removing it from the marinade and letting excess drip off.
  6. Grill the steak for 6-7 minutes on each side or until desired doneness is reached.
  7. Allow the steak to rest for 5 minutes before slicing against the grain.

Notes

For best flavor, marinate overnight and avoid pressing down on the steak while grilling to retain its juices.
