A beautifully layered drink that captures the essence of summer with its vibrant flavors of strawberry and coconut.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz white rum (preferably Bacardi)
  • 4 oz strawberry daiquiri mix (fresh or frozen strawberries blended with lime and simple syrup)
  • 4 oz piña colada mix (canned or homemade with cream of coconut, pineapple juice, and ice)
  • ½ oz lime juice
  • ½ oz simple syrup (optional)
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh strawberries (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Strawberry Daiquiri Layer: In a blender, combine the strawberry daiquiri mix, 1 oz of white rum, ½ oz of lime juice, and a handful of ice. Blend until smooth yet thick enough to hold its shape, about 1-2 minutes.
  2. Prepare the Piña Colada Layer: Rinse the blender. Add the piña colada mix, 1 oz of white rum, and ice. Blend until creamy and thick, about 1-2 minutes.
  3. Layer the Strawberry Daiquiri: Carefully pour the strawberry mixture into a glass until about halfway full. Tap gently to level out the top.
  4. Slowly Add the Piña Colada Layer: Hold a spoon upside down above the strawberry layer and slowly pour the piña colada mix over the back of the spoon to float it atop the strawberry layer.
  5. Garnish and Serve: Garnish with a fresh strawberry or pineapple wedge and serve immediately with a straw.

Notes

Adjust sweetness with optional simple syrup based on preference. For best results, serve fresh.
