Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) instant yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup milk, warmed
  • 1/4 cup water, warmed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs

Instructions

  1. Combine dry ingredients: In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
  2. Mix wet ingredients: In a separate bowl, mix warm milk, warm water, melted butter, and eggs.
  3. Form the dough: Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough: Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth.
  5. Let dough rise: Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for about 60 minutes, or until doubled in size.
  6. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  7. Shape the buns: Divide the dough into equal portions and shape them into buns.
  8. Second rise: Place the buns on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and cover to rise for another 30 minutes.
  9. Bake the buns: Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Cool and serve: Let cool before serving.

Notes

Store leftover buns in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days. They can also be frozen for up to 3 months.
