Delicious soft and fluffy burger buns, perfect for any grilling occasion.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) instant yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk, warmed
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • Sesame seeds (optional, for topping)

Instructions

  1. Combine the flour, sugar, instant yeast, and salt in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Mix the warm milk, melted butter, and egg in a separate bowl.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the flour mixture and mix until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour.
  6. Punch down the dough and divide it into equal portions, shaping each into a ball.
  7. Cover with a cloth and let rise again for about 30 minutes.
  8. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  9. Optionally, brush the tops of the buns with melted butter and sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
  10. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  11. Let cool before using for burgers or sandwiches.

Notes

Store leftover buns in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. Freeze for up to 3 months.
