Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Butter for cooking
  • Maple syrup for serving

Instructions

  1. Whisk the Dry Ingredients: In a bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
  2. Mix the Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, mix the milk, eggs, and vanilla extract until everything is beautifully combined.
  3. Combine the Wet and Dry Ingredients: Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined—don’t overmix!
  4. Heat the Skillet: Heat a non-stick skillet over low heat and add a little butter, letting it melt and coat the pan.
  5. Form the Pancakes: Pour a scoop of batter into the skillet to form a pancake. Cover with a lid and let it cook for 3-4 minutes.
  6. Flip and Finish Cooking: Once small bubbles form, flip the pancake gently and cook for another 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Repeat and Serve: Repeat with the remaining batter. Serve warm with a drizzle of maple syrup!
