A delightful and easy recipe for Fresh Peach Cobbler, capturing the essence of summer with sweet peaches and a golden buttery crust.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 cups fresh peaches, sliced
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare to fill your kitchen with tantalizing aromas.
  2. Combine the sliced peaches with 1/2 cup of sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice in a large bowl. Mix gently until the peaches are coated, then pour this luscious filling into a greased baking dish.
  3. Whisk together the flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, and salt in another bowl. Gradually stir in the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until everything is well combined.
  4. Pour the batter over the peaches in the baking dish, but resist the urge to stir! The magic happens in the oven, where the batter will rise to create a beautiful crust.
  5. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is gloriously golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  6. Serve the cobbler warm, and for a truly indulgent experience, top it off with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Notes

For best results, use ripe peaches. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
