A comforting dish that combines tender beef strips with pasta in a rich garlic butter sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz pasta (fettuccine or spaghetti)
  • 1 lb beef strips
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Parmesan cheese, grated (optional)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, taking care to reserve a little pasta water if needed later.
  2. Melt the Butter: In a large skillet over medium heat, add the butter and let it melt until it begins to foam slightly.
  3. Sauté the Garlic: Add the minced garlic to the bubbling butter and sauté until fragrant, about a minute.
  4. Cook the Beef Strips: Add the beef strips to the skillet, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Combine with Pasta: Toss in the drained pasta, mixing together and adding reserved pasta water if needed.
  6. Serve and Garnish: Serve hot, topped with Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley.

Notes

Pairs well with a garden salad and a glass of red wine. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days.
