A creamy and flavorful clam dip that brings nostalgia and joy to any gathering.

Ingredients

  • 1 (8 oz.) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 1 (6.5 oz.) can drained minced clams, juice reserved
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 green onions (white and green parts), finely chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, diced
  • 1/2 tablespoon dried minced onion
  • Dash or two of Tabasco sauce, to taste
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Potato chips for serving

Instructions

  1. Soften the cream cheese in a medium bowl until creamy.
  2. Add the mayonnaise and 2 tablespoons of reserved clam juice, mixing until smooth.
  3. Incorporate the minced clams, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, green onions, garlic, dried minced onion, and Tabasco sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Adjust the consistency by adding more clam juice, about 1 teaspoon at a time.
  5. Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour (8 hours is ideal).
  6. Serve the dip in a bowl with crispy potato chips.

Notes

Best when made a day in advance. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
