Delightful soft and chewy cookies decorated with vibrant green sugar, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1/4 cup green sugar for decoration
  • 1 cup chocolate clovers

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a small bowl, stir together the flour, baking soda, and baking powder.
  3. Cream together the softened butter, white sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Beat in the egg until fully incorporated.
  5. Gradually blend in the dry ingredients into the butter-sugar mixture.
  6. Roll rounded teaspoonfuls of dough into balls and place them onto ungreased pans.
  7. Flatten each ball with the bottom of a glass, then sprinkle them generously with green sugar.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes, or until golden.
  9. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely. Decorate with chocolate clovers before serving.

Notes

Store leftover cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. Unbaked dough can be frozen for up to three months.
