Rich and fudgy brownies infused with the deep flavors of Guinness stout, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup Guinness stout beer
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in granulated sugar and brown sugar until well combined.
  3. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, followed by vanilla and Guinness.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir until just combined.
  7. Stir in chocolate chips if using.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  10. Let cool before cutting into squares and serving.
