  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 cup ketchup for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, milk, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Use your hands or a spoon to ensure everything is well incorporated.
  3. Mix well until combined.
  4. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it into a greased baking dish.
  5. Spread the 1/2 cup of ketchup generously over the top of the meatloaf.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for about 1 hour, or until cooked through (internal temperature reaches 160°F or 70°C).
  7. Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Don’t overmix the ingredients to prevent a dense texture. Consider using lean beef or turkey for a healthier option.
