Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye)
  • 1 lb shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Lemon wedges (for serving)
  • Green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill or frying pan over medium-high heat to ensure it’s hot enough for that perfect sear.
  2. Season the steak and shrimp with salt, pepper, and minced garlic.
  3. Marinate the steak in a mixture of soy sauce and vegetable oil for 10 minutes.
  4. Grill the marinated steak for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare finish.
  5. Sauté the shrimp in the same pan for 2-3 minutes until pink and opaque.
  6. Slice the rested steak against the grain for tenderness, and plate it alongside the shrimp.
  7. Garnish with fresh green onions and serve with lemon wedges on the side.

Notes

For better tenderness, slice the steak against the grain. Don’t skimp on garlic, but be careful not to burn it. Marinate for at least 10 minutes for flavor boost.
