Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup additional granulated sugar for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan to ensure your bread releases effortlessly after baking.
  2. Mix the dry ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt. Whisk them together until they are evenly mixed.
  3. Whisk the wet ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, melted butter, and eggs until smooth.
  4. Combine the wet mixture into the dry ingredients, being careful not to overmix.
  5. Layer half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  6. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon sugar mixture over the batter.
  7. Add the remaining batter on top, then sprinkle the rest of the cinnamon sugar mixture on top.
  8. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
