Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon instant yeast
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup warm water
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Combine the dry ingredients: In a large bowl, mix together the flour, yeast, sugar, and salt.
  2. Form the dough: Gradually add warm water to the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough: Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
  4. Let the dough rise: Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise for about 1 hour.
  5. Preheat the oven: As the dough rises, preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  6. Shape the knots: Once risen, punch down the dough and divide it into small pieces, rolling each piece into a knot.
  7. Arrange on the baking sheet: Place the knots on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Bake the knots: Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Prepare the garlic butter: While the knots are baking, melt the butter and mix it with garlic, parsley, oregano, and pepper.
  10. Finish and serve: Once baked, brush the garlic butter mixture over the knots and serve them warm.
