A comforting, gooey homemade lasagna perfect for family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • Lasagna noodles
  • Ground beef
  • Ricotta cheese
  • Mozzarella cheese
  • Parmesan cheese
  • Marinara sauce
  • 1 Egg
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 Onion, chopped
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • Italian seasoning, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  3. Sauté chopped onion and minced garlic until translucent in a skillet. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
  4. Stir in marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese with egg, salt, and pepper.
  6. In a baking dish, spread a layer of meat sauce, followed by a layer of noodles, then a layer of the ricotta mixture, and a sprinkle of mozzarella. Repeat layers, finishing with sauce and mozzarella on top.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  8. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 20 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
  9. Let it cool for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

For added flavor, consider incorporating chopped vegetables like spinach or bell peppers into the meat sauce.
