A classic homemade lasagna filled with layers of pasta, rich meat sauce, and creamy cheeses, perfect for family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • Lasagna noodles
  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 15 oz Ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups Mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 Egg
  • 3 cups Marinara sauce
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 Onion, chopped
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Sauté the ground beef with minced garlic and chopped onion over medium heat until browned and onions are translucent.
  3. Add marinara sauce and Italian seasoning; let simmer for 10 minutes.
  4. Combine ricotta cheese, eggs, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl.
  5. Cook lasagna noodles according to package directions until al dente; drain and lay flat.
  6. Layer a layer of meat sauce, followed by noodles, ricotta mixture, and mozzarella cheese. Repeat until ingredients are used, finishing with marinara sauce and mozzarella.
  7. Bake covered with aluminum foil for 25 minutes, then remove foil and bake for another 25 minutes.
  8. Let the lasagna rest for a few minutes before slicing.

Notes

Pairs well with a green salad and garlic bread. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for 3-4 days or frozen for longer storage.
