  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 lb chicken breast, diced
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add flour and whisk until smooth. Gradually stir in milk, cooking until it thickens.
  3. Stir in cheddar cheese, salt, and black pepper until melted and smooth.
