A comforting twist on classic macaroni and cheese with tender chicken in a sweet and spicy honey pepper sauce.

  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 pound chicken tenders
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon hot pepper sauce
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs (optional for topping)

Instructions

  1. Cook the macaroni according to package instructions; drain.
  2. In a large pot, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in milk, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Add cheese and stir until melted. Mix in the cooked macaroni to combine everything perfectly.
  4. In a skillet, cook chicken tenders until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. Combine honey and hot pepper sauce; drizzle over the chicken and toss to coat thoroughly.
  6. Serve chicken on top of mac and cheese, and sprinkle breadcrumbs if desired, adding that delightful crunch.

Notes
