  • 4 chicken drumsticks
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Create the Flavor-Packed Marinade: In a bowl, mix together the soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, ketchup, minced garlic, grated ginger, sesame oil, and black pepper to create the marinade.
  2. Marinate the Chicken: Place the chicken in a resealable plastic bag and pour the marinade over it. Seal the bag tightly, refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight for maximum flavor infusion.
  3. Preheat the Grill: When you’re ready to grill, preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Prepare the Chicken for Grilling: Remove the chicken from the marinade, shaking off any excess marinade, and discard the marinade.
  5. Grill the Chicken: Grill the chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until cooked through and has reached an internal temperature of 165°F.
  6. Let It Rest: Once off the grill, let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For more intense flavor, marinate the chicken overnight. Use a meat thermometer to ensure proper doneness.
