A quick and flavorful Hunan Chicken dish that beautifully balances spicy and savory flavors, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast, sliced
  • 2 cups mixed vegetables (bell peppers, broccoli, carrots)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon chili paste
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the sliced chicken breast and stir-fry until cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Add the minced garlic and mixed vegetables, stir-frying until the veggies are tender but still crisp, around 3-4 minutes.
  4. Mix together the soy sauce, chili paste, and cornstarch in a small bowl until smooth.
  5. Pour the sauce over the chicken and vegetables, stirring to combine. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot.
