  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)
  • Green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Create the marinade by whisking together the soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, minced garlic, and fresh ginger.
  3. Marinate the chicken thighs in the marinade for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Arrange the chicken thighs in a baking dish and pour the remaining sauce over them.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes until cooked through.
  6. Thicken the sauce by mixing cornstarch and water in a small bowl, then adding to the baking dish.
  7. Return the dish to the oven for an additional 5 minutes to let the sauce thicken.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds and green onions.

Notes

For best flavor, marinate the chicken for 2-4 hours or overnight. Adjust cooking time if using chicken breasts instead of thighs.
