A refreshing twist on the classic tiramisu, featuring zesty lemon and creamy mascarpone.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice
  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 package ladyfinger cookies
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • Cocoa powder for dusting
  • Chocolate shavings for garnish

Instructions

  1. Mix the Coffee and Lemon Juice: In a bowl, mix the cooled coffee and lemon juice until well combined.
  2. Beat the Mascarpone Mixture: In another bowl, beat together the mascarpone cheese, heavy cream, sugar, vanilla extract, and lemon zest until smooth and creamy.
  3. Prepare the Ladyfingers: Dip each ladyfinger briefly in the coffee mixture.
  4. Layer the First Set: In a serving dish, layer the dipped ladyfingers side by side.
  5. Spread the Mascarpone Mixture: Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.
  6. Repeat the Layers: Repeat the layering with another set of dipped ladyfingers followed by the remaining mascarpone mixture.
  7. Chill and Set: Cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
  8. Dust and Garnish: Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder and sprinkle chocolate shavings.

Notes

Store any leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
