A creamy and flavorful pasta dish that combines the beloved flavors of a cheeseburger with tender penne pasta, topped with crispy bacon and cheddar cheese.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz penne pasta
  • 4 slices of bacon
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, cook bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and crumble.
  3. In the same skillet, cook ground beef, onion, and garlic until the beef is browned. Drain excess fat.
  4. Stir in beef broth and heavy cream, bringing to a simmer.
  5. Add the cooked pasta, cheddar cheese, and diced tomatoes. Stir until cheese is melted and everything is combined. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Serve topped with crumbled bacon and chopped green onions.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. For meal prep, freeze individual portions for up to a month.
