A hearty yet light dish that combines ground beef and cabbage in a savory, low-carb recipe.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small head of cabbage, chopped
  • 3 green onions, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp ginger, minced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat the sesame oil over medium heat until it shimmers invitingly.
  2. Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula as it cooks.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic and ginger, allowing their flavors to infuse the beef for about one minute.
  4. Add the chopped cabbage and soy sauce into the skillet, stirring to combine everything nicely.
  5. Cook until the cabbage is tender, about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally and allowing the ingredients to meld.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to enhance all those delicious flavors.
  7. Garnish with the chopped green onions before serving for that fresh crunch.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Can be paired with cauliflower rice or a cucumber salad.
