Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound spaghetti
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 28 ounces marinara sauce
  • 15 ounces ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup grated mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for that lovely bake.
  2. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. Sauté the ground beef with the chopped onion and minced garlic until fully cooked, then drain any excess fat.
  4. Stir in the marinara sauce and let it simmer for a few minutes to meld the flavors.
  5. Mix the ricotta cheese with salt, pepper, and half of the mozzarella cheese until well blended.
  6. Layer half the spaghetti in a baking dish, followed by half of the meat sauce, and then the ricotta mixture. Repeat the layers.
  7. Finish off with the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses on top.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  9. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
