This Million Dollar Spaghetti Casserole combines layers of pasta, a rich meat sauce, and gooey cheese for a comforting and satisfying dish.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz spaghetti
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 jar (24 oz) spaghetti sauce
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook spaghetti according to package instructions; drain it, and set aside.
  3. Sauté the ground beef in a large skillet with olive oil over medium heat until browned.
  4. Create the meat sauce by stirring in spaghetti sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Combine the cooked spaghetti, ricotta cheese, and half of the mozzarella cheese in a large bowl.
  6. Layer half of the spaghetti mixture in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  7. Add the meat sauce on top of the spaghetti base.
  8. Top with the remaining spaghetti mixture.
  9. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over the top.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  11. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

You can add vegetables like spinach or bell peppers for extra nutrition. Substitute ground beef with turkey or chicken for a lighter option.
