Ingredients

  • 3 to 4 pounds chuck roast
  • 1 packet ranch dressing mix
  • 1 packet au jus gravy mix
  • 5 to 6 pepperoncini peppers
  • 1 stick of butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 275°F (135°C).
  2. Place the chuck roast in a large roasting pan.
  3. Sprinkle the ranch dressing mix and au jus gravy mix over the roast.
  4. Nestle the pepperoncini peppers around the roast.
  5. Top the roast with the stick of butter.
  6. Cover the pan tightly with aluminum foil.
  7. Bake for 4 to 5 hours or until the meat is tender and pulls apart.
  8. Serve with the cooking juices over mashed potatoes or rice.

Notes
