A delightful and moist bread infused with cinnamon and topped with a crunchy cinnamon-sugar mixture, perfect for cozy mornings.

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for topping)
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan generously.
  2. Mix the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, ground cinnamon, and salt in a large mixing bowl until well combined.
  3. Combine the melted butter, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract in another bowl. Whisk until blended.
  4. Join the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined; a few lumps are okay.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
  6. Make the topping by mixing together the 1/4 cup granulated sugar and 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon, then sprinkle it over the batter.
  7. Bake for 50 to 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Cool the loaf in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.

Notes

Serve warm or toasted, delicious with butter, and pairs well with coffee or spiced tea.
