A flavor-packed Mongolian chicken dish with tender chicken and vibrant vegetables, perfect for weeknight dinners.

  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
  • 1/4 cup water
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Sesame seeds and green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Marinate the Chicken: In a bowl, combine sliced chicken, soy sauce, and cornstarch. Mix well and let marinate for 15 minutes.
  2. Heat the Oil: Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Sauté the Chicken: Stir-fry the marinated chicken until golden and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Add the Veggies: Add the bell pepper, onion, broccoli, garlic, and ginger. Stir-fry for another 3-5 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
  5. Thicken the Sauce: Stir in the hoisin sauce and water, cooking until the sauce thickens slightly.
  6. Season: Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve: Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds and green onions.
