A delightful twist on the classic burger featuring juicy beef patties topped with sautéed mushrooms and melted Swiss cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Lettuce, tomato, and condiments (optional)

Instructions

  1. Sauté the mushrooms in a skillet with olive oil over medium heat until tender; season with salt and pepper.
  2. Form the ground beef into four equal patties, seasoning them with salt and pepper.
  3. Cook the patties on the grill or in a pan for 4-5 minutes on each side until desired doneness.
  4. Melt a slice of Swiss cheese on each patty during the last minute of cooking.
  5. Toast the hamburger buns until golden if desired.
  6. Assemble the burgers with patties, sautéed mushrooms, lettuce, tomato, and any condiments you like.

Notes

For a richer flavor, consider adding caramelized onions or crispy bacon. Make an indentation in the patties to prevent puffing while cooking.
