Experience the delightful flavors of Oklahoma Fried Onion Burgers, featuring juicy beef patties and sweet caramelized onions in a soft bun.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 4 slices of cheese (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooking oil

Instructions

  1. Heat a little cooking oil in a skillet over medium heat and add the sliced onions. Cook until caramelized, about 10-15 minutes.
  2. Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions and form into patties. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Cook the burger patties in another skillet or on the grill over medium-high heat for 3-4 minutes on each side.
  4. Assemble the burgers by placing a cooked patty on the bottom half of each bun, topping with fried onions, and covering with the top bun. Serve hot.

Notes
