  • 1 package yellow cake mix
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Powdered sugar for dusting
  • Red and green sugar for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix together the yellow cake mix, softened cream cheese, and softened butter until well combined.
  3. Add in the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until the batter is smooth.
  4. Chill the dough for 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
  5. Roll the chilled dough into 1-inch balls and roll them in powdered sugar.
  6. Place the balls on a prepared baking sheet, spaced about 2 inches apart.
  7. Sprinkle with festive red and green sugar on top.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  9. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
