Deliciously seared halibut fillets paired with a rich, creamy lemon sauce, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 4 halibut fillets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Season the halibut fillets generously with salt and pepper.
  3. Sear the fillets for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
  4. Remove the fillets from the skillet and set aside.
  5. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  6. Add heavy cream, lemon juice, and lemon zest, stirring to combine.
  7. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  8. Return the halibut to the skillet, spooning the sauce over them to coat.
  9. Serve garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

Pairs excellently with garlic mashed potatoes or arugula salad. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days.
