Parmesan Crusted Chicken with Garlic Sauce

A delightful blend of crispy, cheesy chicken paired with a luxuriously creamy garlic sauce.

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon dried herbs (thyme, oregano, or basil)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Mashed potatoes, pasta, or crusty bread for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Mix the breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan cheese in a shallow bowl.
  3. Beat the eggs until smooth in another bowl.
  4. Place the all-purpose flour in a third bowl.
  5. Season the chicken breasts liberally with salt and pepper.
  6. Dredge each breast in the flour, then dip them into the beaten eggs, followed by the breadcrumb and Parmesan mixture.
  7. Heat olive oil in a large oven-proof skillet over medium-high heat.
  8. Add the chicken breasts to the skillet and sear until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes on each side.
  9. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes.
  10. Add butter and minced garlic to the same skillet and sauté for 1 minute.
  11. Stir in the heavy cream and dried herbs, allowing to simmer until thickened.
  12. Serve the crispy chicken drizzled with the creamy garlic sauce.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat in a skillet over low heat with a splash of cream.
