Deliciously chewy and crunchy peanut butter cookies topped with a melted chocolate kiss, perfect for any occasion.

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup butter (softened)
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • â…” cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 egg (room temperature)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup sugar (for rolling)
  • 36 chocolate kiss candies

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line your baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Mix the all-purpose flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a mixing bowl.
  3. Cream together the softened butter, white sugar, brown sugar, and creamy peanut butter until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the room-temperature egg and vanilla extract, blending until well combined.
  5. Combine the dry mixture into the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Chill the prepared dough for about 2 hours in the refrigerator.
  7. Roll the chilled dough into small balls and coat each in sugar.
  8. Bake for 8-10 minutes until the edges are lightly golden.
  9. Press a chocolate kiss into the center of each cookie immediately after removing from the oven.
  10. Cool on a wire rack before enjoying.

Notes

Ensure that the butter is not too warm to prevent cookies from spreading too much.
