Delightful Pecan Pie Bars that combine the classic flavors of pecan pie in a convenient handheld form, perfect for autumn gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/4 cup corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish to prepare for the crust.
  2. Combine flour, butter, and brown sugar in a bowl until crumbly; press this mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared dish.
  3. Bake the crust for 10-12 minutes until lightly golden.
  4. Mix together corn syrup, granulated sugar, egg, vanilla extract, and salt in another bowl until smooth and well combined.
  5. Stir in the chopped pecans and pour the mixture over the baked crust.
  6. Bake for an additional 25-30 minutes until the filling is set.
  7. Cool completely before slicing into squares.
  8. Serve these delightful treats warm or at room temperature.
