A comforting dessert that combines the flavors of pecan pie and cake, easy to prepare and perfect for gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 can (15 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup water

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish generously.
  3. Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix evenly across the bottom of the baking dish.
  4. Pour the sweetened condensed milk evenly over the cake mix.
  5. Drizzle the melted butter generously over the top.
  6. Sprinkle the brown sugar and chopped pecans evenly over the mixture.
  7. Pour the water evenly over the top.
  8. Bake for 50-55 minutes, or until golden brown.
  9. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days at room temperature.
