Delicious peppers filled with seasoned beef, onions, and melted provolone cheese, bringing comfort food to your dinner table.

Ingredients

  • 4 large bell peppers
  • 1 pound sliced beef (ribeye or flank steak)
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 2 cups provolone cheese, shredded
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cut the tops off the bell peppers and remove the seeds.
  3. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté the onion and green bell pepper until soft.
  4. Add the sliced beef to the skillet and cook until browned. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Fill the bell peppers with the beef mixture and top generously with provolone cheese.
  6. Place the stuffed peppers in a baking dish and cover with foil.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

Notes

For a lighter option, use turkey or chicken instead of beef. Customize the cheese and add your favorite ingredients for a gourmet twist.
