A delightful mix of roasted pistachios and kunafa, coated in chocolate, perfect for gatherings or personal indulgence.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup roasted pistachios
  • 1 cup shredded kunafa pastry
  • 1/2 cup chocolate (for coating)
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon butter (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread the shredded kunafa pastry on a baking sheet and lightly toast until golden brown.
  2. In a food processor, combine the roasted pistachios, toasted kunafa, sugar, and salt. Pulse until finely ground.
  3. If desired, melt the butter and mix it into the ground filling for added richness.
  4. Shape small amounts of the mixture into filling balls or bars.
  5. Melt the chocolate in a microwave or double boiler, stirring regularly for a smooth consistency.
  6. Dip the pistachio filling into the melted chocolate, coating evenly, and let the excess drip off before placing them on wax paper to cool and harden.
  7. Store in an airtight container until ready to use.

Notes

These bites can be enjoyed plain or rolled in powdered sugar or coconut. Consider customization with spices or different chocolate types.
