Scale
  • 1 pie crust
  • 6 large eggs

  • 1 cup shredded Gruyère cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)

  2. Line a pie dish with the pie crust, carefully pressing it into the edges.
  3. Whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, milk, salt, pepper, and nutmeg until thoroughly combined.
  4. Spread the chopped bacon and shredded cheese evenly over the pie crust.
  5. Pour the egg mixture over the bacon and cheese, ensuring an even distribution.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the quiche is set and lightly golden on top.
  7. Let it cool slightly before slicing and serving.

Notes

For an extra crispy crust, pre-bake the pie crust for 10 minutes before adding the filling. You can substitute Gruyère cheese with Swiss or cheddar cheese if needed.
