A warm, golden-brown Quiche Lorraine filled with crispy bacon and melted Swiss cheese, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 pie crust
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup cooked and crumbled bacon
  • 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • Chopped chives (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, milk, salt, black pepper, and nutmeg until well combined.
  3. Spread the cooked, crumbled bacon across the bottom of the pie crust.
  4. Sprinkle the shredded Swiss cheese evenly over the bacon.
  5. Pour the egg mixture over the bacon and cheese.
  6. Place the quiche in the preheated oven and bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until set and lightly golden.
  7. Allow the quiche to cool for a few minutes before slicing.
  8. Garnish with chopped chives if desired.

Notes

To prevent a soggy crust, consider blind baking the pie crust for about 10 minutes before adding the filling.
